The exhibition will showcase comprehensive, system-integrated solutions for the automotive engineering field, with a particular emphasis on cutting-edge automotive mold technologies and new equipment for commercial vehicles, passenger cars, and automotive components.
Guangzhou is one of the three major automobile production bases in China, with an annual output approaching 3 million vehicles. Its total output ranks first nationwide. By 2025, the city’s automotive industry will have begun to accelerate its development and achieve initial results; automotive production capacity will exceed 5 million vehicles, and the output value of large-scale automobile manufacturing is expected to reach 1 trillion yuan. A robust automotive industry cluster will essentially take shape. The 2024 Guangzhou International Automotive Moulding Technology Exhibition is strategically positioned to serve the South China automotive R&D and manufacturing industry, radiate throughout Asia, and bring together the entire automotive industry chain. The exhibition is projected to attract 500 exhibitors, occupy an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters, and draw 20,000 visitors, establishing itself as the premier event for automotive moulding technology in South China.

Why exhibit?
The massive South China automotive R&D and manufacturing market!
The New “Four Transformations”—the new driving force behind the future evolution of the automotive industry—mark a pivotal shift in the automotive sector. Over the past century and more, the automotive industry has undergone remarkable development; in China alone, automobile production has surged over the past two decades. Today, we’re witnessing the emergence of the “New Four Transformations”: connectivity, intelligence, sharing, and electrification. Technological innovation has become the key driver propelling the growth of the automotive industry. If you’re a professional in the automotive sector, you simply can’t afford to miss AUTOTECH 2025 South China Exhibition—the premier event showcasing the rapidly advancing automotive mold technology in the Greater Bay Area.
The Greater Bay Area accounts for more than a quarter of China’s automotive production capacity. From Guangzhou—home to GAC Trumpchi, GAC Honda, GAC Toyota, Dongfeng Nissan, GAC Fiat Chrysler, and BAIC—through Shenzhen, where BYD and Changan Peugeot Citroën are located, to the FAW-Volkswagen plant in Nanhai District, Foshan... Within the 56,000-square-kilometer expanse of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, one finds one of China’s largest automotive industry clusters.
As one of Guangdong’s pillar industries, Guangdong’s automotive manufacturing sector has seen steady growth in recent years, with its output value continuously rising. According to data from the Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Statistics, in 2018, Guangdong had a total of 833 large-scale automotive manufacturing enterprises, which achieved an added value of 185.97 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 7.4%. Automobile production reached 3.2204 million vehicles, accounting for 11.5% of the nation’s total automobile output.
As Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao enter the Greater Bay Area era, which aims to build a metropolitan cluster, economic linkages among these regions will become even more intensive, and their mutual integration will continue to deepen. Driven by the favorable conditions in the Greater Bay Area, high-end manufacturing—particularly the automotive industry—is bound to reach a new level of development.

Knowledge popularization:
Forging dies are molds used in the forging process. Under the action of external forces, raw materials undergo plastic deformation within the forging die, thereby producing parts with the desired shape and dimensions. According to the forging temperature, forging dies can be classified into hot-forging dies, warm-forging dies, and cold-forging dies. Depending on the type of equipment used, hot-forging dies can further be divided into hammer forging dies, screw press forging dies, mechanical press forging dies, flat forging dies, and hydraulic press forging dies, among others. When performing die forging on a press, it is necessary to design and fabricate die frames. During the forging process, additional dies and tooling are also required, such as billet-preparation dies (e.g., roll forging dies, wedge cross-rolling dies), edge-trimming dies, punching dies, correcting dies, and cold precision pressing dies. These dies and devices all fall under the category of forging dies.
