Recently, the list of winners for the 2025 “Mechanical Industry Science and Technology Award,” jointly announced by the China National Machinery Industry Federation and the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, was officially released. The project “Key Technologies and Applications of Ultra-Large Integrated Die Casting Molds,” submitted by Guangzhou Xingqiang Mold Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Guangxing”), has been awarded the Second Prize of the 2025 “Mechanical Industry Science and Technology Award (Science and Technology Progress Award).”
Recently, the China Mould Industry Association (CMIA) released the results of its assessment and recognition for scientific and technological achievements under the “Precision Mould Award” program for the 2023-2025 period. Amidst the fiercely competitive industry landscape, Guangzhou Cavity Mould Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Guangxing”) has been honored with both the First Prize and the Third Prize of the 2023-2025 “Precision Mould Award” program, thanks to its outstanding strength and relentless pursuit of excellence.
Recently, the group standard titled “Technical Specifications for Large-Scale Integrated Die Casting Molds” (hereinafter referred to as the “Specifications”), jointly organized by the Die Casting Branch and the Mold Branch of the China Foundry Association and led by Guangzhou Cavity Mold Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Guangxing”), has been officially released and is now in effect. This marks a crucial step toward standardization and regularization in China’s cutting-edge manufacturing field of large-scale integrated die casting.

The manufacturing level of the domestic mold industry continues to improve.
China’s mold market is currently experiencing a period of rapid growth, particularly in the area of plastic and rubber molds, which have seen substantial development. As evidenced by China’s import and export data for molds over recent years, the value of imported plastic and rubber molds far exceeds that of exported molds. To improve China’s import and export situation for plastic molds, it is essential to accelerate the development of domestically produced plastic molds. To this end, we must promptly overcome the two major bottlenecks hindering the development of the mold industry. The first is the insufficient rate of mold standardization, which inevitably leads to extended lead times and makes it difficult for users to replace parts. Low mold standardization also directly restricts specialized division of labor and collaborative efforts within the mold industry, as well as the commercial circulation of molds, thereby limiting their export potential. In 2011, China’s mold standardization and commercialization rates were around 55%, leaving a considerable gap compared to those of developed countries, where commercialization rates typically range from 70% to 80%.

The Asia International Mould & Die Exhibition—Guangzhou Station will return to Hall 3.1 of the Guangzhou Fair Complex from February 25 to 27, 2025. Together with the concurrent Guangzhou Industrial Technology Expo, this year’s exhibition will span an area of 20,000 square meters, showcasing innovative technologies and products in moulds, die casting, stamping, and 3D printing, as well as a wide range of related equipment, materials, and solutions. Meanwhile, the exhibition’s parallel events will make a triumphant return, exploring key development trends in the mould manufacturing industry—from digitalization and intelligent mould making to the application of additive manufacturing in mould production.
