A 6,800-ton ultra-large integrated die for automotive applications has been successfully trial-manufactured.

On January 17, 2022, the country’s first ultra-large 6,800-ton integrated aluminum alloy die-casting structural component mold was successfully trial-produced at Hongtu Technology. The mold was independently developed by Guangxing Mould and weighs over 140 tons. The successful trial production of this project marks Guangxing Mould as the first domestic enterprise to master the technology for developing and debugging ultra-large integrated structural component molds. Taking this milestone as a starting point, Guangxing Mould will embark on the R&D and manufacturing of molds for key lightweight components—such as the integrated front compartment assembly, intermediate panels, rear floor panels, and door panels—for new-energy vehicles, thereby making a significant contribution to the development of China’s new-energy vehicle industry.
